Privacy policy

This page explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it and what your rights are. Effective date: 3 November 2026.

1. Who we are

The data controller is GLOBAL GAIN ENTERPRISES LTD, a Hong Kong company (Hong Kong Business Registration No. 68395512-000-10-17-3), at Units A-C, 25/F, Seabright Plaza, No. 9-23 Shell Street, North Point, Hong Kong. AbroadRE is a trading name of Global Gain Enterprises Ltd (Globgain).

2. What we collect and why

  • Contact form and partner enquiries: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, what you are interested in and your message. We use these to reply to you and, if you ask, to prepare a quote or give you access to our off-market properties. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • Accounts: if we give you a login, we store your name, email address, your password (kept in a form no one can read) and the information you add to your account, such as viewing requests. For partner agents, we also record when they accepted our collaborator agreement and which version. We use these to run the service you signed up for. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
  • Properties from partner agents: the documents and photos partner agents upload, which can include the names and contact details of property owners or agents. We use them to prepare listings, and we never show those contact details to buyers. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in marketing the properties we are asked to market.
  • Error reports: if something goes wrong on the website, a report of what went wrong, so we can fix it. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the website working.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.

3. Who we share it with

We share your data only with trusted service providers that host our website and data, deliver our emails, provide maps and help us process documents and keep the site secure. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.

Our data is stored in the European Union. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; where they do, we use the safeguards required by law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

If you ask us to introduce you to a lawyer, currency exchange provider or other professional, we share the details they need to help you, and only with your agreement.

4. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: 2 years after our last contact with you, unless you become a client.
  • Clients: the records we use to identify you and the records of your transactions are kept for 10 years after our relationship ends, as Spanish anti-money-laundering law requires (Ley 10/2010).
  • Other account data: deleted within 1 year of your account closing.

5. Cookies

We only use technical cookies that the website needs to work, such as keeping you logged in. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent first. See our cookie policy.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or send it to you or another company. You can also object to how we use it and withdraw your consent at any time. To do any of this, email team@abroadre.com. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos) at www.aepd.es.

7. Hong Kong privacy law

Because we are a Hong Kong company, we also follow the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). Under it, you can ask whether we hold personal data about you, ask for a copy of it and ask us to correct it, by emailing team@abroadre.com. This adds to the rights in section 6; it does not reduce them. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong, at www.pcpd.org.hk.
